Life on the farm is bliss. Not a neighbour in sight, and the spectacle of God's sky and scenery are spiritually transporting. That is, until you think you hear thunder one morning, only to realize it's the sound of horse hooves busting out of the pasture and heading down the road to the grain field. Yep, just when you were thinking about how good that first sip of coffee was going to be, you've got a round up to perform instead.

Horses in a row

So many of these ironies unfold on the homestead on a regular basis. The chores and routines of the day are systemized with regularity, just like sunrise and sunset. Yet, the ability to control the weather and the animals without incident is an impossible task. Try as you might you are at the mercy of the clever goat who knows how to unlatch his gate, or the calf who hasn't latched on to his mommy for a first drink.

Even with this sea-saw of events, it's been put in our hearts to awe and wonder over natures ways. And that is why I am so passionate about the amazing harvest of wools and fibre we gather from our cherished animals. The same qualities of the fleece that keep sheep, alpacas and angora goats cozy in winter, yet cool in summer can be ours to enjoy as well!

These teapot cozy covers are as endearing as they are practical. Little treasures for you, from my farm family of woolly animals, that will double the pleasure of your morning tea, at home or at the cottage.
